One of the highlights of this app was its ability to filter and sort according to release date, tomatometer, genre, etc. Suddenly late last year either new movies just stopped being updated or someone just grew tired of tagging the movies and shows by genre or release date.

The entire sort-by function is useless for me. This was my go to app to track episodes of TV shows I watched as well as movies. However, since the update, things I add to watch list on one screen do not show up on the designated watch list screen. This app was awesome. And if I search for a movie title I sit there waiting for it to load. Now you pay more than before only to be presented with content that must be accessed through a different provider and thus a paid subscription with that provider. The point of Yidio was to do away with multiple, excessive subscriptions and cable fail-to-providers.

I was expecting an app which would let the user watch various different shows for free. Instead I was disappointed to find out all you could do in this app is create playlists of shows and check them off once you have watched them. After starting app it freezes. If you close the app and restart it starts to work, but is very jerky with the display.
